A Helvetas workshop provided a forum for sharing field experiences – approaches that have worked, new ideas, and ways of responding to challenges arising from religious arguments.
Our notion of social equity encompasses more than addressing economic poverty. It is about upholding human rights and taking a stance against social injustice.
It’s amazing how often the excellently intentioned word “gender” evokes negative, defensive reactions from men and women alike. Perhaps these are best seen as an opportunity for beginning a discussion.
