In Bangladesh we partner with over 20 different local NGOs, some as part of a long-term engagement, and some as part of relatively recent interventions.
After attending trainings, couples start to share household chores, their mutual understanding increases, and their participation in WASH activities increases.
The more that women’s rights and roles in society are raised in a constructive debate, the more men and women are likely to reflect on their own situation and that of others.
Keeping things simple but capturing what is important is a constant M&E challenge. We need to come up with nuanced and participatory project monitoring systems, also tracking self-perceptions.
