Shpend Emini
Shpend Emini is the Deputy Project Manager for the Decentralisation and Municipal Support (DEMOS) project in Kosovo. He leads the project outcome on policy support and the project outcome on the development and implementation of a capacity-building program for improved local governance. Shpend has 20 years of experience in project management, community development, civil society development and elections. Prior to joining Helvetas, he worked for Democracy for Development, one of the leading think-tanks working in the field of democratization and governance. For ten years, he worked for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), out of which three years internationally. Between 2014-2017, he served as a member of the Council for Implementation of the Government Strategy for Cooperation with Civil Society, representing civil society. He is member of the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG) and since 2019 he is Advisory Council Member of the Trustbuilding Forum in Kosovo established by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo.
