Rutta Firdissa Duressa

Rutta is a Senior Expert in Sustainable and Inclusive Economies at Helvetas Ethiopia. She provides hands-on advisory support to different projects, mainly stimulating a shift to facilitative approach of project implementation using the Market System Development approach. She has extensive experience in promoting private sector development of Horticulture industry and value chain development towards contributing food security of poor communities in Ethiopia. She holds master’s degree in Horticulture Science degree and Agriculture Production Chain Management. She has solid experience in increasing competitiveness of private sectors in exporting horticultural products to international markets, as well suppurating small holder farmers through linking them with reliable markets for sustainable economic development.
