Our Partners in Myanmar

SDC - Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation

The SDC Humanitarian Aid, has been working in Myanmar since 1994. In November 2012, Switzerland opened a Embassy in Myanmar. Humanitarian engagement will be complemented by a broader program that supports the transition to democracy, peace building and poverty reduction. Myanmar is integrated into the SDC's Mekong regional program. SDC support Myanmar in four development areas: employment and vocational training; Agriculture and food security; Health, social services and local governance as well as peace building, democratization and protection.

Delegation of the European Union to Myanmar

In Myanmar, a fully-fledged EU Delegation was opened in 2013 and is located in Yangon. The Delegation's main tasks are to strengthen EU-Myanmar relations by engaging in political dialogue, supporting development and delivery of humanitarian aid, overseeing trade issues and promoting cultural exchange.

DRD - Department of Rural Development

In accordance with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the Department of Rural Development (DRD) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is undertaking sustainable rural development measures for the sake of improvement of quality of life of people and their living standard. DRD is the focal department for rural development in Myanmar and is mandated to construct rural road and bridge, rural water supply and sanitation, rural electrification and rural housing and to enhance livelihood and income generation. http://www.drdmyanmar.org/

Network Activities Group

With over 400 NAG family members, staff from different geographical areas around Myanmar in 13 regions and states, NAG is working with national and international partners and networks for sustainable development of peaceful and prosperous society.

LRC - Local Resource Centre

LRC is an umbrella organization working for an empowered and accountable civic society that actively embraces diversity, social inclusiveness and civic responsibility, and works together to bring about change to the lives of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Myanmar.

BANCA - Biodiversity and Nature Conservation Association
