VFBC Training consultants for agricultural cooperatives (3 separate missions)

The project "Vietnam Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation" (VFBC) is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented for 5 years from July 2020 to June 2025. The project's objectives are to reduce greenhouse emissions, increase carbon sequestration from production forests that are natural forests and plantations in Vietnam, and conserve biodiversity in forest areas with high biodiversity value in the country.

Sub-Component 6, Component 2 of the project implemented by Helvetas Vietnam aims to improve livelihoods for communities living in buffer zones of national protected areas through promoting conservation-friendly enterprises and production. The 3 main groups of activities of Sub-Component 6 include: 1) Increasing incomes through developing sustainable, efficient, and forest-friendly NTFP and high-value agriculture value chains; (2) Increasing incomes & job generation through community-based ecotourism; and (3) Providing employment and income opportunities for hunters, illegal loggers, and their families.

Helvetas is seeking consultants with in-depth practical experience to train and advise cooperatives, local enterprises, and production teams. There are 03 missions:

  1. Training and consulting on regulations and standards on food safety conditions for agricultural production and trading businesses (from 15/08/2023 - 28/8/2023).
  2. Training and providing knowledge on modern models of agricultural cooperative governance and updating information on the amended Cooperative Law 2023, guiding the implementation of the new Law and its application to collaborative management (from 15/08/2023 - 28/8/2023).
  3. Coaching on cooperative governance to implement production and business plans; Coaching to improve marketing capacity and products selling through online and direct channels (from 15/08/2023 - 15/9/2024).
