Felix Gutzwiller

Felix Gutzwiller was the head of the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (now EBPI) at the University of Zurich for over 20 years. He was founding president of the Swiss School of Public Health (2005-2010). He chaired the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute from 1999-2015. From 1999-2007 he was a member of the National Council, and from 2007-2015 a member of the Council of States representing the Canton of Zurich (chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee APK-S 2014/2015). From 2011-2023, he chaired the Federal Council's Advisory Committee on International Cooperation.
