Peter Messerli

Peter Messerli is Professor of Sustainable Development at the University of Bern and was Director of the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE). His research interest lies in the sustainable development of social-ecological systems in Africa and Asia. Since May he has been head of the Wyss Academy for Nature, which fosters innovation to combine nature conservation and its sustainable use.
