Get on!-free on bus consultations
The 'Access to Justice" Project (A2J) in cooperation with "Prevent Domestic Violence" Project (PDV) by GOPA mbH are conducting free on-bus mobile consultations in Dushanbe and Khatlon district from November 25 until December 1.
During the whole week, the branded mini-bus with the professional lawyer and psychologist on board, will provide free consultations to anyone who requests it. Moreover the consultations will be kept absolutely anonymous.
These mobile consultations are launched to support the global campaign "16 days activism against gender-based violence' and aim to spread awareness on free legal and psychological state and non-state services available for the population in Tajikistan. At the moment there are 6 non-state run and 12 state run legal aid center throughout Tajikistan, which provide free legal aid within the framework of the 'Access to Justice' Project.
It is worth mentioning, that from the 'Access to Justice' Project side, two lawyers are taking part in the campaign: one lawyer from the State Agency 'Legal Aid Center' and one lawyer from the NGO 'League of Women Lawyers'.
While the mobile consultations are being provided on the bus, volunteers distribute the informational materials, developed by both projects and provide contacts of the free legal aid centers and free shelters for the victims of the violence.
From tomorrow morning the mini-bus will circulate around Bokhtar and Dushanbe and on December 1st, the mobile consultations will continue in Vaksh and Vose districts.
