Livelihoods of millions of people are threatened by climate change today. A fundamental prerequisite for climate change adaptation that responds to local needs is local risk information. This "local evidence” is also a powerful tool to advocate for urgent climate action globally. On Wednesday 28 November at 16.00 in Berne Switzerland (Welle 7 Workspace), hosted by the Swiss NGO DRR Plattform, representatives of grassroot advocacy organizations, civil society networks, media and the Swiss Government shall reflect on the collection and use of local evidence for advocacy and how it needs to be framed to create awareness and bring added value to the policy dialogue to limit global warming rises to 1.5C.
