With over 16 years of experience at the European Commission, Daniel Giorev has held various high-level positions in international development, resilience and security. As the Head of Unit for Resilience, Peace and Security at the Directorate-General for International Partnerships since June 2023, he leads efforts to develop the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus and manages relations with key international bodies like the UN and NATO. His previous role as Head of Sustainable Development Policy saw him ensure EU multilateral coherence and manage strategic partnerships with institutions such as the UN, World Bank and IMF. Daniel holds law degrees from King’s College London and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
