On 27 September, HELVETAS held an event to share experiences, good practices and lessons learned from the Cooperative Groups (CG) approach. The event was held in Nampula and was attended by officers, advisers and project coordinator who were involved in the skills development and technical vocational training projects implemented by HELVETAS in the provinces of Nampula, Cabo Delgado, Niassa, Inhambane and by partner Solidar Suisse, in Manica province.
The participants reflected on and proposed solutions to the main challenges faced during the operationalisation of the CG approach, including the low involvement of women in courses in male-dominated areas, the request for kits by implementing partners and some beneficiaries, the non-recognition of certificates for informal vocational courses and digital inclusion.
