From December 13 to 15, 2024, Karakol hosted the international winter tourism fair KARAKOL FAIR 2024. The fair, which had already become an integral part of the winter season, brought together more than 60 artisans from Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek, Chatkal, Jalal-Abad, Naryn, Issyk-Kul region) and Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Bukhara).

Craftsmen from across Kyrgyzstan presented their original handicrafts, made with high professionalism. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase national souvenirs, felt products, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and various works of art.

Attracting over 7,000 guests, the event became an important occasion for promoting winter tourism and showcasing local crafts. The program featured concerts, master classes, and sports games. One of the fair’s most popular spots was the food court, where attendees sampled dishes from a range of regional cuisines.

In addition to trade stalls and culinary discoveries, the fair delighted guests with a rich entertainment program. Musical performances by folk ensembles generated great interest among visitors.

Overall, KARAKOL FAIR 2024 not only promoted the development of winter tourism in Karakol but also united people eager to explore the cultural heritage and traditions of the region more deeply.
